About

Salon Mira Mira is a modern upscale salon with a vision. We want to bring quality work to North Knoxville. Our stylists are the very best in the business. They come from a variety of backgrounds and education level, but work together in harmony to better serve our clients.

One might ask… “What does Mira Mira mean…?”. That is a very good question. It happened to be one of the names we were considering before we opened. We did not think it meant anything at the time; we simply liked the way it sounded. The person that was making our sign asked the same question. He seemed to think it was something in Spanish. So we went to the Internet and looked it up. Turns out that it does mean something in Spanish, it means to look. So that’s our story behind the name in a nutshell.

Erin Vineyard Goode: Color Specialist, Co-Owner

I am a Knoxville native, born and raised in K-town!! I graduated from Halls High School in 1999, then went on to attend the University of Tennessee. I then moved to Johnson City, Tennessee, to attend and graduate from East Tennessee State University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Communications and a minor Art in 2003. I started my short-lived career in the fabulous world of Public Relations as an assistant to a Knoxville based firm.

After a few short months in the field of PR, I decided I needed a change. Hair and make-up has always been my passion, so I enrolled in Tennessee School of Beauty.

After graduating from Cosmetology school, I worked at a salon in north Knoxville, where I met my business partner, Michelle. In the winter of 2006 we tossed around the idea of opening a salon together. Our dreams came true in the spring of 2007, when everything started to fall into place. And that is how Salon Mira Mira got started!!!

I currently live in North Knoxville with my wonderful husband Andy and our three dogs (Gemma, Gunther and Mandy). I am very blessed to have most of my family living in Knoxville, just minutes from my house. Without them by my side to love and support me, opening a salon would not have been possible. They have all supported me through my various stages of life and stuck by me even when I have been intolerable.

Heather Roe: Hair Stylist, Color Specialist, Make-up Artist

I have been in the beauty industry for ten years, and doing hair professionally for five years. While attending Fine Art school I worked as a wedding photographer which led me to become interested in hair and make-up, leading me to attend beauty school.

After completing beauty school I apprenticed under Johnnie Morgan, a Global Aveda Purefessional, which led to advanced hair cutting and technical coloring. Through continuing education I later became a salon educator and color specialist.

After working as a stylist for just over a year I relocated to Wilmington, NC where I opened my own salon. While my salon took off with great success life changes led me to sell my business in November of 2006 and move back to Knoxville.

In May of 2007 I was lucky enough to meet Erin and Michelle who asked me to join their team at Salon Mira Mira!
